i’m so dizzy
October 31, 2008

This morning I woke up feeling dizzy and a little off balance while I got up to walk towards the bathroom. Out of nowhere, I threw up a small amount of yellowish stomach acid in the toilet bowl in front of me. Ugh, I definitely didn’t see that coming. My dizzyness was pretty bearable driving here to Cerritos, I wasn’t feeling completely sick until now. There is nothing I can do anyway because nobody can come in at the last minute to work my shift so I’m stuck here until 4PM. On top of that, I’m currently wishing that I had access to a sterilized thermometer because I’m starting to feel as if my temperature is shooting up. As a last resort I called my mom and she forced me to ask around for some meds even if she knows that I don’t like asking people for stuff. I know, I sound like such a big baby complaining to my mom but my she’s basically my own personal doctor and she always manages to make me feel better. I wish I could be home this instant, laying on my bed, sipping on some hot chocolate while watching T.V.

Someone come work for me!

overwhelmed
October 30, 2008

I am so burned out and the week hasn’t even ended yet. I started school yesterday, I’m still kind of on the fence about how I feel on driving so far out to the new location of my school. Foothill Ranch hardly seemed like a long drive last week for the meeting, but driving to and from 2 days in row for actual class is more of a drag that I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really excited about being accepted into this program and receiving the privilege not everyone can have, I just need a few more weeks of getting use to the overwhelming drive home late at night. Paying a toll of $2.50 both ways isn’t a picnic either. I just seem to be looking so negatively towards my new schedule and unfamiliar circumstances :[

So, I’ve already finished the first Twilight book and already have started on the second one. Reading the contents of New Moon is a little disappointing and very heartbreaking because Edward suddenly leaves. That was a spoiler, sorry for those of you who haven’t read it, heh. My cousin says it gets better so I should just suck it up, stop moping about him, and continue reading. It’s so insane how in love I am with this non-existent character, I’m a crazy little girl. On the plus side, Paramore’s Decode music video for Twilight premieres on Monday so I’m going to keep my eyes and ears peeled for that.

Today my eyes are hurting from wearing my contacts for over 12 hours, I know I’m not suppose to wear them for more than six to eight, but I have shiteous glasses that I strictly forbid myself to wear out in public. That is why I decided, at the last minute, to buy a new pair today. Basically, on a whim of self conciousness but also a healthier alternative for my eyes, I will be blowing $200 for a pair of Calvin Klein glasses.

Can you tell this hasn’t exactly been my week? Don’t worry, I’ll perk up because it’s almost the weekend and Buddha knows I could use some rest. I better get to bed for work tomorrow. Goodnight ya’ll.

After two weeks of work hiatus, it felt good to be back. I had the urge to hug Dr. M when he showed up this morning to work, no more four hour spays from Dr. A. Hallelujah! Two surgeries flew by in less than an hour and a half, Dr. M is officially my favorite surgeon. I never fully appreciated his mental and physical quickness before, but after working as the “Maas Man’s” assistant today, it feels good to move at a faster pace again.

On a different note, I’m almost done with reading Twilight! It took me 3 long days but I’ve finally finished the climax of the book, just a few more pages and I’ll be ready for the sequel. I don’t think it’s healthy to be this oddly obsessed with a book, let alone the character in it. All thanks to my cousin Tammy for introducing me to the wonderful world of Edward Cullen. Even if he doesn’t exist he is still just so darn dreamy.

Twilight
October 25, 2008

Time went by fast while I was working at Santa Anita yesterday and I owe it all to my newest deep obsession: Twilight. My real obsession is with a character named Edward Cullen, an intriguing, mysterious, and heart-melting vampire. The author somehow draws me into him, making me want him as much as the girl in the book. It’s a weird feeling but somehow his actions in the book are as if he was doing to me too, as if I was the victim. The 500 page book was a little discouraging at first, but in one day, I sped through almost half of it already. As my cousin Desi said, “You’re one of them now. They’ve got you.” Haha! The Twilight movie is coming out November 21st and for the first time I’ve decided that I need to go see it the opening night and not a day later.

Priscilla’s Birthday/Costume Party was today so I dressed up and stopped by for a few hours to drop off her gift. I didn’t stay as long as I wanted but with my mom being worried and sick at the same time, I couldn’t leave her hanging. I hope Pris is having fun right now. Goodnight.

mother dear
October 23, 2008

It was hot today, real hot. My mom has been stressed out about her employee’s death and as a result she hasn’t had enough sleep for the past week. I’ve also learned that my mom also gets stressed whenever my dad goes out of town leaving her with the responsibility of the business. I know she doesn’t have to do much to maintain everything in it’s rightful order because she has my cousin at her side every day (and for that I’m very grateful). Unexpectedly, this morning she woke up and asked me to take her to the doctor. The symptoms she was having earlier have occured numerous times before so I’m just a little worried it might get worse in the future. Today I’m just trying to help my mom as much as I can to help relieve her stress level and comfort. The Doctor prescribed her some relaxers and meds for the prevention of dizzyness, I hope those will help her. Every time my dad goes out of town I set aside a little space to sleep in her room so she doesn’t feel so lonely and has someone to talk to. Poor mommy.

late drive
October 22, 2008

Driving from Rowland Heights to Foothill Ranch, what can I say? It was a pretty long drive and on top of that I had to pay a toll of $2.50 on the 241 freeway (both ways); that makes it $5 a day for two days a week. Good grief. While sitting in class it just hit me that I’d have to get use to going to “night school.” As most of you know, I’m the type of person who doesn’t enjoy staying out later than 8PM unless it involves a celebration once in a great while. I could look at it in a positive way, for instance, driving home late at night gives me the chance to avoid traffic on the way home. As I looked around the class earlier, all I saw were white girls and only two familiar faces from my last class, at least I have someone to talk to. Our orientation will be on the first day of class (which is next Wednesday) and if we’re lucky, we’ll also be receiving our class books. I have no idea why, but owning or buying new books have always been a weird fetish of mine. Well, wish me luck for a year-long school term!

On the flight back I didn’t throw up once but I still got a massive headache and some gag reflexes due to the motion sickness. Well, here are some pictures for you to enjoy. As you can see, one of the reasons why I like Miami is because the city is mostly surrounded by water. The clouds there are quite photogenic too! The (2) pictures of the city was the view from the Hilton Hotel I was staying at; the windows were filthy but I still managed to get pretty decent shots.
