this week
November 30, 2008

This week consisted of…

1. Mostly being frustrated with the fact that Silverlink employees at Cerritos Mall are unreliable. Nobody takes a mall job seriously anymore, ugh.

2. Being bombarded with errands, drop offs, pick ups, “take me heres & take me theres,” and “can you please work?” It’s a little overwhelming especially when I thought that I would have a lot of time for myself this week, but that rarely works out. I know, you’re probably thinking, “Other people have it worse than you so stop complaining.” Well frankly, I’m not those people and I honestly couldn’t do what they do everyday of their lives, we’re all different and have totally incomparable functionality. I mean I could be a little more tolerant of doing favors for family but it’s just a little irritating when so many questions are thrown at me in 2 days.

3. Watching Twilight for the 3RD time in 2 weeks, it just gets better every single time I watch it. I’m not saying this is would be my last time either…

4. Buying Franco’s Christmas present a month too early! The cost of a G1 for an upgrade was a $150 special so we couldn’t pass it up, especially not when Franco’s cell phone was on the on the verge of a breakdown. I can’t believe he got his G1 before me! Augh.

5. Not getting to any particular Black Friday sales. Santa Anita Mall was ridiculously packed even at nine o’clock in the morning! Parking was impossible so me and my sister opted out for spending $8 on valet.

Today I am driving to LA to help set up for Franco’s mom’s birthday party. That means there will be tons of food! I just hate how far I have to drive to get to Glendale, blah!

business card
November 26, 2008

The business cards at my work are hideous so I decided to make some (on Microsoft Publisher) out of pure boredom. I’ll be posting more when I get the time to make multiple ones. FYI: I totally forgot our fax number so don’t pay any attention to that.

nothing
November 25, 2008

I can’t wait until I get my brand spankin’ new phone, it’s all I’ve been thinking about for the past few days. Well, scratch that. I’ve also been trying to find a way to see Twilight again sometime this week. I just need a partner to go with (that won’t drool over the sight of Bella. Ahem, babe.) I also haven’t taken advantage of my new privilege of being 21 years old. That means finally ordering my first alcoholic drink, and honestly, I’m pretty excited. I don’t consider turning 21 a big milestone in my life, it’s just a few more things I can legally enjoy. It’s pretty simple.

Today surgeries mostly consisted of tumor removals and neuters, nothing out of the ordinary. Tomorrow I have work for four hours and I have absolutely no plans after that. Maybe I’ll pay a visit to Downtown, LA.

Twilight weekend
November 23, 2008

This weekend was really fun for me, I wish it didn’t end. Me and Franco went to Santa Anita Mall to finally watch Twilight on Friday. There were so many teens that it almost felt like I was in line for the Jonas Brothers’ concert all over again. All I could see that day were Twilight t-shirts, jackets, books, and white girls, haha! The movie was so great that I went to Brea the next day with my cousins to watch it for the second time and I still haven’t had enough. I’m planning on watching it one more time before it hits the DVDs, heh. The characters were cast with utmost perfection, fitting each description with infallible accuracy. Although a lot of parts from the book were thrown out of the movie I was perfectly fine with the way it came out. I loved it! Most critics wrote that the the emotions and personalities of the main characters were overdone but those critics probably never read the book. To fully understand the feeling and emotions of this movie you definitely need to read Twilight. It just doesn’t work that way.

I just came back from having Korean BBQ with my family. No, I didn’t have any alcohol. I kind of want to wait until I can share my privilege with Franco and my cousins. I’m off to dye my hair, see yah!

Happy 21st
November 23, 2008

…to me! I can’t believe I’m already 21 years old, I don’t feel like I’m at that age yet. I still have so much growing up to do (mentally that is). You probably already think I’m planning to go out and get drunk until the wee hours of the night, but if you do know me, you know I wouldn’t. Not right away at least, heh. Korean BBQ with my family sounds more appealing, I just want everyone to be together for my birthday (and food is all I ask for). For my birthday I recieved a couple hundred bucks from my family which will most likely be saved for Christmas gifts anyway, yay! Franco bought me the white version of the G1 that I have been longing for since the first time I’ve seen it and I can’t wait for that! I’ll be back to blog some more later, I need to get my grub on.

Twilight Facts
November 21, 2008

  • Kristen Stewart has naturally green eyes. She wears brown contacts for filming because Bella is supposed to have brown eyes.
  • Kellan Lutz intended on keeping his natural curly hair for the role of Emmett Cullen. However, his previous role in _”Generation Kill” (2008) (mini)_ required a buzz cut and his hair didn’t grow fast enough for the filming of Twilight.
  • Henry Cavill was Stephenie Meyer‘s first choice to play Edward, but by the time the film came to be, he was 25 years old, and no longer looked the part of a 17-year old. He was then offered the part of Carlisle Cullen but turned it down due to his commitment with ‘The Tudors’
  • For the role of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson flew from England to director Catherine Hardwicke‘s house to audition. There, he and Kristen Stewart, who was already cast as Bella Swan, rehearsed the “Love Scene”/”Meadow Scene” on Hardwicke’s own bed.
  • All of the actors playing the Cullens wear topaz-colored contacts.
  • Over 5,000 actors auditioned for the role of Edward.
  • The script was finished in 6 weeks.
  • Robert Pattinson stated in an interview that this is his first American role and he had no formal training to perfect his American accent.
  • Stephenie Meyer will make a cameo in the Twilight movie. She has no lines but can be seen in a scene when Bella and Charlie go out to dinner in Forks.
  • Since Kristen Stewart was a minor during most of the filming she wore hair pieces so they didn’t have to waste time doing her hair, and therefore had more time to shoot.
  • Kristen Stewart turned eighteen while filming the movie and was rewarded with a birthday cake – and a full night of shooting.
  • The actors who played vampires needed to be pale, so it was written into their contracts that they had to stay out of the sun.
  • Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale) learned how to play baseball left-handed for the famous baseball scene.
  • Stephenie Meyer cited the band Linkin Park as her source of inspiration to write her books that the band themselves provided a song for the film’s soundtrack.
  • Stephenie Meyer acknowledges other authors that partially inspired her. One in particular was J.K. Rowling of the Harry Potter book/film series. Coincidentally, actor Robert Pattinson starred in one of the Harry Potter films.

“did you forget?”
November 19, 2008

I went to work and Mrs. E pointed out all the wrong things I’ve done again even if I wasn’t the one responsible for whatever it was, nothing new. My co-worker has already warned me that I’ll probably have to put up with it for as long as I work there because being there for 3 years, she still gets the same crap over and over. I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels bombarded with her ridiculous demands. Life at work would be a lot more enjoyable without the fear of going to the front desk while Mrs. E is there. Or maybe it’s just me and I’m just one big screw up, hah!

Well, I’m off to study the anatomy of a dog. I’ll blog again later or in a few (hours or days). Whichever.

tired Monday
November 17, 2008

Work wasn’t busy at all today so me and Katie sat side by side, from two to five, quietly reading “Breaking Dawn.” There were a few interruptions within the reading session but she’s almost catching up to me, why am I not surprised? This past week (while being on my rag), all I’ve  been craving is chocolate; chocolate cakes, brownies, Godiva, cupcakes, Oreo Cakesters, etc. I  definitely need to relax with the sugar before I become diabetic like my grandparents :[

Lately, my right eye has been twitching uncontrollably and I have no underlying reason why it happens so frequently. Staring at the computer for a long period of time couldn’t possibly be the reason because I had actually cut down 50% of the usage three weeks ago. Could it possibly be from lack of sleep? I thought that I’ve been getting a decent amount, but maybe I need more. Heh. I’m just so drained right now and it wasn’t even busy at work today. I probably just need some more shut eye is all. I’m off to shower so I can catch The Big Bang Theory and then get some hundred pages of reading in before bed. (Okay, maybe not a hundred but something close to it)

See ya’ll later.

smokey
November 16, 2008

Waking up to the smell of smoke is kind of alarming. It’s probably the reason why I woke up abnormally early today and it had to be a Sunday (a day where I should have slept in for another 2 hours). I flipped the T.V. on to channel 4 news to find that Chino Hills is also now on fire. Ugh. Since I’m awake and it’s too early for breakfast (not to mention there is a lack of it), I’ll go ahead and post some pictures of what me and my sister had seen driving home on the 60 freeway yesterday. I’m hoping everyone involved in this fire are safe, I know my family is and for that I’m thankful.

So, I just recieved a call from my cousin seconds ago telling me that there is a fire in Brea right behind my auntie’s house! Sh-t.
